摘要
《喧哗与骚动》是福克纳一生中最重要的一部小说,作品以生动的创作题材和独特的艺术手法代表了他创作的最高成就。本文采用普遍分析与典型例证相结合的方法,分析了小说题目的象征意义以及小说中墓督教原型人物和意象的象征意蕴,揭示了福克纳对人、对社会,特别是对他自己进行的深刻、客观的探索。
The Sound and the Fury is the most important novel in Faulkner’s life. It represents his greatest achievement with its vivid creation subject and unique artistic techniques. Taking the methods of general analysis and typical verification, the article analyzes the symbolic meaning of the title of the novel,the symbolic implications of Christian archetypal characters and symbols in the novel; discloses Faulkner’s deep and objective exploration into human,society,and especially himself.
