The developing circumstance about the establishment of Folk-literature course in Beijing normal university Chinese department between 1949-1959 has been taken as the major object, in order to study the Folk-literature course' origin and how the course develops following the change of government's policies in education and culture. The paper also discusses the background and the meaning of this course, the apocalypse or the use for reference in the establishment of this course.
