摘要
通过对南开大学公共英语教学部2002级9个专业180名学生和第二教研室20位教师的问卷调查,本文详尽展示了师生共同关注的大学英语教学改革中教师授课方式、教学手段、测评方法、胜任听说课教学教师的能力、实施英语教学改革的新举措以及初始效果和存在问题。在此基础上,本文还明确提出了大学英语教学改革的作用,是促使师生教学相长和推动学生综合英语能力的提高,增强学生的就业能力。
By means of the questionnaire study carried out in the College English Department of Nankai University in early September 2004, this paper illustrates, in detail, the core contents such as the teaching mode, teaching means, methodso f the evaluation, the teachers’ competence in conducting listening & speaking class, etc.. Basedo n the above factors, this paper points out clearly that the implemented reform of college English teaching has played an important role in creating the win-win situation between teachers and students, improving the college students’ comprehensive abilityi n using English, etc. so as to enhance their employability.
