On the Reformists' Dissemination and Application of Modern Scientific Method

近代中国从西方输入近代科学方法始于维新派,他们对实验方法、逻辑方法、数学方法均进行了一定程度的传播和运用。但总的看来,只有逻辑方法的引进比较系统全面,而且这些方法基本上还没有直接应用到科学研究之中。

The introduction of modern scientific method into China can be traced back to the Reformists in 1898, who to some extent disseminated and applied the experimental method, logical method and scientific method. Generally speaking, though it was the introduction of logical method that was relatively systematic and comprehensive, while other methods were not directly applied to scientific research, this introduction was of significant enlightenment in thoughts.
