A Summary of the History of Forbidding Opium in China

鸦片烟毒曾写就了近代中国一段折人心脾的历史.从雍正皇帝1729年颁布禁烟令为起点,中国就成为世界上最早开始禁毒的国家,并先后进行了1838～1840年世界历史上第一次大规模的禁烟运动、清末民初的禁烟运动、1935～1940年国民政府的'二年禁毒、六年禁烟'运动和1950～1952年中国共产党领导的禁毒运动.每一次禁烟禁毒运动都为人类禁毒事业留下了宝贵的财富.

To forbid opium is the encouraging history of modern China. From Yongzheng Emperor, who has promulgated the Law of forbidding opium, China has become the earliest country to forbid opium and carried out the first action to forbid opium on the large scale during 1838-1840, and following actions in later Qing Dynasty, during 1935-1940, and in 1950-1952 when the Communist Party of China led it. Each of them has left the previous treasure for career of forbidding opium in the world.
