China's Direct Investment Abroad:Theory and Practice

摘要中国已经成为世界利用外国直接投资最多的国家,随着我国经济的发展,我国企业也将随之“走出去”,扩大我国对外直接投资。运用发展中国家对外投资理论并以IDP假说对中国对外直接投资所作的宏观分析和实践检验说明,中国的净对外直接投资和经济发展之间存在负相关,目前并不是中国企业大举“走出去”的最好时机,断定中国会引领发展中国家对外直接投资的“第三次浪潮”,似乎为时尚早。我国政府可针对不同类型的对外直接投资采取导向性的措施和手段。 China has been becoming a country where most FDI are utilized in the world. And with the economic development, Chinese firms have gone abroad to expand our FDI. This paper is a macroeconomic analysis on the impact of Chinese FDI on the economic development by means of the foreign trade theory for developing economies. It is shown that FDI is negative related with our development, which means that “go out” might not be a good choice at present time. And it seems early to say that China will lead the third wave of FDI in the world. The government has to direct our FDI with particular measures for different FDI of Chinese firms.
