Mergence between colleges have negative effects on archives work.The reasons for this are that leaders fail to attach great importance to this work,teaching staffs don't have adequate knowledge of the law of archives work, those in charge of this work are not well trained,etc.Therefore,close attention should be paid to the basic functions of archives and improving vocational skills of those concerned to ensure the safety and intactness of archives in the process of mergence.
