摘要
目的:评价FR-Ⅲ功能调节器对生长发育期的儿童Ⅲ类错畸形患者的骨骼和牙齿的作用效果。方法:对16例前青春期Ⅲ类错患者,采用FR-Ⅲ功能调节器治疗。开始治疗时,患儿平均年龄8.0岁±1.0岁;平均治疗周期1.3a±0.3a。对照组12例患儿,开始观测时平均年龄8.2岁±1.1岁;观测周期1.5a±0.2a。对照分析两组患儿治疗前后的口腔发育状况。结果:上颌骨和下颌骨的长度,在水平向和垂直向上,治疗组和对照组没有差异。虽然上颌切牙组间对比没有差异,但下颌切牙的变化两组间有显著性差异。结论:FR-Ⅲ功能调节器的主要治疗效果是使下颌骨向后向下旋转和下切牙舌倾。
Objective:To evaluate the skeletal and dental effects produced by the Frankel functional regulator Ⅲ appliance in growing children with Class Ⅲ malocclusions.Methods:Sixteen preadolescents(initial mean age,8.0±1.0 years;mean treatment duration,1.3±0.3 years)treated with the Frankel functional regulator Ⅲ appliance were compared with 12 matched untreated Class Ⅲ controls (initial mean age 8.2±1.1 years;mean observation period,1.5±0.2 years).Results:In the intergroup comparison,there was no statistically significant difference in the lengths of the maxilla and the mandible,and there was also no particular significance in the comparison of the vertical changes between the 2 groups.Even though the mean horizontal change in the maxillary incisors was significance,the mean horizontal change in the mandibular incisors was statistically significant.Conclusion:The treatment effects were mainly from backward and downward rotation of the mandible and linguoversion of the mandibular incisors.
