摘要
从优化系统资源,优化应用程序设计两个方面研究提高虚拟存取方法VSAM(Vitualstorage AccessM ethod)文件处理的性能方法。通过实验数据验证了这些方法可以有效提高VSAM文件处理的效率。
Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) is a system software presented by IBM for managing data resource in the operating system VSE/ESA (Virtual Storage Extended/Enterprise Systems Architecture) of the mainframe ES9000. As the data processing gets increasingly concentrated, the problem as how to process, with high efficiency, a huge amount of data within a specified time limit has aroused more and more concentrations of those in the art. The present thesis makes a detailed study on the methods of optimizing the efficiency of processing VSAM files in an environment composed of a huge amount of data. Only by making full use of the system space, and reasonably arrange data storage structure in accordance with the rules of data transfer, can the data resource be managed with the utmost efficiency. The present thesis studies the methods for improving the processing capacity of the VSAM files in two aspects, namely, system resource optimization and application programming optimization. Experimental data has proved that said methods are capable of enhancing the efficiency of processing VSAM files effectively.
