The Usage and Development of Adjective as Reference

形容词除了常见的陈述用法外,还有指称用法。从现代汉语史的视角来考察形容词的指称用法在现代汉语各阶段中的使用和变化情况,在当今使用中,其具有以下三个比较显明的特点:1.直接引用的较多;2.某些形容词的指称形式高频使用,经常用于构成一些固定或半固定的形式;3.某些否定性偏正词组用于指称。指称性形容词的大量使用主要是受外语的影响。

Adjectives are also used as reference besides its narrative function. This thesis reviews the usage and transformation of adjectives as reference in Modern Chinese, and analyzes its three obvious characteristics in nowadays use:1.being dircetly used more times; 2.some of them are frequently employed in set phrases or semi-set phrases; 3.some of negative word groups consisting of a substantive and its modifer are used as reference. The wide use of adjectives as reference is mainly influenced by foreign languages.
