从系统功能语法的名词化研究分析Halliday的语义观

本文认为名词化是一种语法隐喻,其实质是“同样的所指,不同的能指”。在此基础上,本文从小句和语篇两个角度分析名词化产生的语义变化对文体、情态取向、语式和语用预设的改变和对语篇的衔接方式、主位结构、信息结构等的影响,以论证Halliday的语义观的两个主要方面“能指”的选择受语言交际意图的制约,并不是完全任意性的;语义并非僵化的,而是在一次次选择中动态形成。

This paper holds that nominalization is grammatical metaphor and its essence is the alternative signifier for the same signified.Based on that idea, this paper analyzes how nominalization affects style, modality orientation,mode of discourse and presupposition the clause level, and the way of cohesion, thematic structure and information structure on the text level, in order to illustrate two main points of Halliday's perception on meaning:one is that choosing signifier is restricted by speaker's communication intention and not totally arbitrary, and the other is that meaning, which is formed in dynamic choices, in by no means static.
