北美自由贸易协定(NAFTA)为冷战时期后最大的自由贸易区域。本文介绍了NAFTA产生的背景,评价了NAFTA蕴含的战略思想和理论及其在世界贸易体系的地位。在详细叙述了NAFTA有关纺织品及成衣条款,并讨论NAFTA成员国的利益平衡的基础上,分析了NAFTA对亚洲成衣工业出口与发展的影响,提出了相应的对策。

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) created the world's largest self-sufficient 'Free Trade' Zone after the Cold-War era. This paper introduces the background of NAFTA and evaluates the strategy and theory of it. Its role played in the world trade system is discussed. Based upon the description of its relative items to textile and clothing and discussion of interest balance between NAFTA members, the influences of NAFTA on the Asia textile and clothing exporting and the industry development and exporting is analyzed and the appropriate strategies are presented.
