21世纪知识分子政策需要与时俱进。在政治方面,要科学对待阶级属性和淡化官本位意识,实事求是地分析知识分子的政治角色;在改造方面,要深刻反思历史上的改造问题,要遵照历史适应性的原则,当代尤其要注意与市场经济相适应;在待遇方面,要从过去的由政府包办的做法,转向主要依靠市场和社会解决。

The policy on intellectuals needs to go along with the times in 21st century. In the political aspect, it is necessary to treat class properties scientifically and desalinize officer's standard consciousness, and practically analyze the intellectuals' political roles. In transformation, the question should be deeply reviewed of transforming in history and the principle of historical adaptability be followed. Much attention should be paid to being in conformity with market economy. And in treatment, problems should be solved by no more relying on the government than on the market and the society.
