On uniformization in tune translation of Tang and Song Ci

目的:探讨词牌翻译的统一化。方法:用实例分析法指出了常用的三种翻译方法。结果:通过对例子的分析指出前两种方法的不足之处和第三种译法的优点。结论:从欣赏和跨文化交际的角度出发提出了词牌翻译统一化的观点。

This paper first generalizes precedent practice of translating the tune of Ci and crystallizes three methods frequently employed in translation, namely: phonetic translation, literal translation and the combination of literal and liberal translation. Through the analysis of substantial examples, the author points out the defects of the first two methods and the merits of the last one. Further the author proposes the viewpoint of uniformization in translation from the perspectives of appreciation and cross-cultural communication.
