Professor Zhong Jingwen proposed to establish China's folklore schools and different kind of research methods. 'Furthermore, we should consider the methods of practical solutions according to our research objects and studying purposes', he said. The methodology of China's folklore schools originated from the practices that the Chinese scholars adopted in their research on China's folk affairs. The so-called schools were developed from every scholar and their research methods were penetrated in their research achievements which depended on their research enthusiasm, state of mind and methods. The research methods of China's folklore schools can be categorized from the past 80 years' practice. Their specific methods can be collected into colorful and various styles with Chinese characteristics.
