《聂小倩》忠实地继承了《虬髯客传》中张一妹的卑贱女性自赎、巨眼识人于穷途的故事核心;巧妙借用了风尘三侠的人物关系图谱,却又做了全面的改版创新。两篇小说人物追求与人物命运的不同显示了不同时代背景下社会思潮与作家关注点的不同;其蕴含的识英雄、重英雄的人才发现思想使小说呈现了更为深广的社会学意义。

'Nie Xiaoqian', chosen from ' Ghost Stories in LiaoZhai' inherits the same core devotedly as the one in the novel' Beard man , in which the woman, Zhang Yimei, of humble origin, redeemed herself by the good sense to recognize a good man on his beam - ends. With the faculty, it borrows the relationship map of characters--'the three chivalrous men' , and at the same time it reviews and recreates its own life content and plot thoroughly. The characters' pursuit and the fate are quite different in the two novels, which indicates the divergence of the ideological trend of their time, as well as the difierence of the concerns and interests of the author. It flows with the talent - discovering thought: recognizing and valuing the heroes, which makes the novel more far - reaching and extensive in sociological influence or effect.
