According to such circumstances in course of employment of main reducer in excavator as serious damage, falling short of normal lifespan, the paper makes theoretic analysis and investigation from mechanical structure of main reducer, manufacture technology, employment and maintenance, finds the cause of early damage so as to decrease the probability on damage of main reducer and productive cost.
