Values of Native Tree Species in Forest Form Improvement of Xiamen

厦门岛山体植被存在树种单一、生态服务功能差、病虫害严重等问题,必须对岛内山体进行林相改造。借鉴国内外林相改造的成功经验,结合厦门的客观实际情况,讨论了乡土树种在林相改造中的独特作用,并对有可能推广利用的乡土树种做作了介绍。

The vegetation in the mountains of Xiamen Island is confronted with serious problems of simplex species, poor ecological function, grievous plant diseases and insect pests. It is important to improve the forest form. In this paper, after using the successful experiences in the forest form improvement for reference and taking into accounts the various factors in Xiamen, the author discussed the specific values of native tree species in forest form improvement. Additionally, a series of native tree species suitable for the forest form improvement in Xiamen were introduced.
