The jade hoop dug out beneath the Hongshan Culture area was used as the sacred ware as the deities Wu and Shi took charge of their jobs. The excavation of the hoop is of great significance to the research of the work and life of the people living in the northern remote antiquity. As the sacrificing sacred ware, the jade hoop integrated the essence of the inclined pottery and bottomless bottle and distillated the two wares. It reflects the sacrificing concepts as well as the spiritual life of the people of that age. Wu and Shi communicated with the god with the help of the loop, through which the stability and unity of the primitive tribes were maintained. Its function in the process of the origination of the civilization deserves our profound thought.
