摘要
英国小说家弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫,作为欧美小说发展史上一名重要的开拓者,她关注社会,关注灵魂,从精神的高度重复远古时代人类“生与死”的主题。其小说创作中对生死问题的思考颇具特色、发人深省。她的主要小说《达洛维太太》和《海浪》表征了她独特的生死观———向死而生,超越死亡。
Virginia Woolf, the British novelist, is one of the important exploiters of modern novels in west. She concerned society and spirit. She repeated the ancient theme of life and death from the aspect of spirit. Her unique perception on life and death leaves us much room for deep thought. This thesis studies her important novels, Mrs Dalovin and the Waves, which may help us understand her unique thought about life and death—to live towards death and try to exceed death.
