Modeling and performance analysis for CSMA/CD using DSPN

近年来,以太网在自动化行业得到了广泛应用,对其MAC 层采用的CSMA/CD 协议进行性能评价已成为必须。本文基于确定与随机Petri网(DSPN)对CSMA/CD 进行了模型抽象,并且利用软件DSPNexpress-NG 对该模型进行性能分析,所得结论对以太网组网有较好的参考价值。

Recently, Ethernet has been applied to the automatic field extensively. It is indispensable to evaluate the CSMA/CD which is the protocol of Ethernet's MAC layer. A DSPN model for the CSMA/CD protocol is developed and run on the DSPNe- xpress-NG software system; two important performance measures, which are throughput and delay, are defined; DSPNexpress- NG then computes the results for these measures. Upon these results, detailed performance analysis is presented in this paper.
