In China, Penology research face crisis in despite of it's exterior prosperity. Some problems influence the smoothly development of Penology science, such as the lack of subjective consciousness, the narrowness of academic vision, the monotony of research method, and the lack of academic norm, etc. The rundamental cause of these problems is the closeness of Penology reserach. Only open the Penology Science in all domains, including the openness of research idea, the openness of research subject and the openness of research method, can Penology step into the road of well development.
