The high speed wire and rod product line of the second wire and rod plant,Xinyu iron and steel Co.,Ltd. had been bulit in 2003 and began to produce in the same year,the key equipment and technology fetched in from overseas.The unique real time control unit AMS that is the core of the automation system had been supplied by ASIRoobicon company of Italy.In this article,the configuration of the system based on AMS,the structure of the communication network and the contral function were described.
