通过对庚辰本第二十一回眉批“壬午九月,因索书甚迫,姑志于此……”做出的新的解释,可以对《红楼梦》早期抄本中的王府本、戚序本系统本子的来源,提出一个全新的说法,并对立松轩其人提出某些新的看法,以此来充实《红楼梦》成书过程的一个重要环节。
