口服避孕药为安全有效的避孕方法,但需每天服用,很多妇女因漏服而怀孕,用药的顺从性有待提高。最近出现了几种新型的激素避孕方式,由于不必每天服药,使用者顺从性较好。

Oral administration of contraceptives is an effective and reversible contracepti ve method. How ever, many women are difficult to use contraceptives consistently and correctly. Recently, four new delivery systems for hormonal contraception have become available: the monthly injection, the levonorgestrel intrauterine system, combination of h orm onal contraceptive with vaginal ring, and transdermal contraceptive patch. A ll methods are effective, reversible, generally discreet, and can reduce daily compliance challenges. This extendes the menu of effective contraceptive opti ons and provide women some optional methods that suits for their particular life styles.
