邓小平理论同马列主义、毛泽东思想是一脉相承的,国家学说是邓小平理论的重要组成部分,是对毛泽东国家学说的继承和发展。在社会主义建设的新时期,邓小平的国家学说有许多创新之处。邓小平重新定位社会主义国家的多种职能,他认为经济职能是国家各项职能之首,把民主法制建设、国家制度的改革作为政治职能的重要内容,同时把加强精神文明建设作为社会主义国家特有的重要职能,在国家结构上主要是提出了“一国两制”的伟大构想。

Especially the national theory is important part of Deng Xiaoping's Theory that is the inheritance and development of Mao Zedong's national theory. In the new era of socialist construction, there are lots of innovations in Deng Xiaoping's theory. He relocates socialist country's multiple functions. He holds that economic function is in the first position of all national functions. He also holds that democracy and rule by law, the reform of national system are the important contents of political function as well as spiritual civilization. At last, he put forwards the great conception of 'one state, two systems' on national structure.
