在全面建设小康社会的进程中,实现人的全面发展,是贯彻始终的一个历史性课题。新时期人的全面发展的现实目标是努力实现人的现代化,以促进和推动社会的现代化;时代内涵是实现人的经济生活、政治生活、精神生活的全面发展,推进人的能力和个性的全面发展,促进人与自然的协调和谐发展。现阶段,只有在以经济建设为中心、建设高度的社会主义精神文明、实施可持续发展战略的全面建设小康社会的进程中,才能实现“人的全面发展”。

In the course of comprehensively constructing the well-off society, the achievement of man's all-round development will always be a historical subject. The goal of man's all-round development in the new period is to realize the modernization of personality thus to promote the modernization of the society in general. At present the connotation of it is to realize the comprehensive development of people's economic, politic and spiritual life, thus to promote the all-round developing of men's ability and personality, and maintain a harmonious and balanced relation between human and the nature. These goals can only be achieved in the course of the economic centered construction of socialist sprit civilization and the sustainable well-off society.
