摘要
2003年,哥伦比亚号航天飞机坠毁、伊拉克战争爆发、非典疫情蔓延,许多人出于及时获得信息和远距离交换声像的需要,普遍使用手机短信,并将数码摄像机(DV)与网络传播结合起来使用。从那时起,一个主要用来说明手机短信的新名词“第五媒体”便在我国迅速流传。从传播的角度看,手机短信拥有的独特的自身优势:跨越地域和电脑终端的限制,拥有声音和震动的提示,几乎做到了与新闻同步;接受方式由静态向动态演变,受众的自主地位得到提高,可以自主选择和发布信息,信息的及时互动或暂时延宕得以自主实现;使得人际传播与大众传播完满结合。但手机短信不过是第四媒体接收终端的移动化,手机短信并不完全具备第五类传媒的特征,也无法与前四媒体的地位相提并论。
From the perspective of dissemination the special advantage of the Cell phone message is beyond doubt it breaks the limitation of geography and computer terminals possesses the reminding function of sound and viberation and almost keeps paces with the news the reception means changes from static to dynamic and the users' awareness of self-decision is improved and they can feel free to choose and send message meanwhile the promptness and interaction or temporary deferment are realized of their own accord thus making the perfect marriage between interpersonal dissemination and public dissemination. However Cell phone message is nothing but the mobilization of receptive terminals of the fourth medium it neither wholly posesses the properties of the fifth medium nor can it be mentioned in the same breath with the former four media.
