摘要
福克纳在其小说中大量使用神话模式、宗教典故,又运用意识流的写作手法,使小说的内涵变得更加丰富,情节更加复杂,人物形象更加多姿多彩,增强了作品的艺术感染力。论文对福克纳小说中的神话模式和宗教典故的象征隐喻的写作手法进行了探讨。
William Faulkner frequently displays mythical patterns, religious quotations and the skill of stream of consciousness to make his novels' connotation vivid, the plots complex and the characters more colorful. It enhances the artistic appeal of his works. In order to apprehend the profound meaning of Faulkner's novels better, this paper discusses the technique of symbolic metaphor in the mythical patterns and the religious quotations of his works. By discussing Faulkner's writing style it is also helpful to study American contemporary literature.
