摘要
新中国建国以来,中国城市的发展虽经历了曲折的道路,但取得了很大成就。截止1986年,中国城镇总数达到8817个,其中城市353个,建制镇8464个,分别为1949年的2.6倍和4倍。中国按城镇非农业人口计的实际在城镇活动的人口已超过20％。尤其在1978年以后,在改革形势的推动下,城市取得了更为惊人的发展。1978～1987年,城市数增长187个,增加近一倍,镇增加8253个,增加近3倍。
The study of urbanization over the past 1 ten years may de characterized by the fo-llowing: closely associated with policy ma- kings city and regional planning; severely affe-cted by the policy and fast urbanized country side. Four trends of China s urbanization in future are proposed.
