This paper focuses on the issue of the legal protection of internet freedom of speech. The author points out the appearance of internet expands the space for the citizens to exercise the right for freedom of speech without being restricted, on the other hand, makes people more easily threatened by the infringements on internet. The paper is clarified with three parts. Part one primarily studied the content and value of the network freedom of speech; Part two comprises topics regarding the characteristics of the freedom of speech in the network; Finally, the author makes some suggestions towards perfecting the protective system of network freedom of speech.
