《四库全书总目》每类皆为之序,每书皆著之提要,剖析条流,辨章学术,以精锐的眼光把握了中国学术的发展演变,其精神不可避免地对清代中后期的学术思想产生深远的影响。考察其中的《诗》类部分,既能理清清初百余年《诗经》研究的发展脉络,又能捕捉到其《诗经》研究思想对清中后期《诗经》研究产生的影响。
