The victory of ethnics over knowledge——On the way of thinking of neo-Confucianism

通过对西方哲学的理性概念与中国哲学的性理概念的有意识勾连,现代新儒家建构了一种道德的知识学,一方面高于西方知性层的知识学,"护住"中国哲学道德心性的主位性,另一方面却足以成就西方知识学之实,"开出"科学与民主。从这种道德对知识的胜利中,可以见出现代新儒家的良苦用心,但亦显现出与其良知的傲慢结伴而来的混乱。

By consciously combining the western 'rationalism'and the Chinese'rationalism', the contemporary Chinese neo-Confucian scholars have created an epistemology of ethincs, which can not only keep Chinese philosophy in subjection, but also take advantage of west epistemology. By the view of contemporary neo-Confucianism, ethnics is bound to triumph over knowledge. They have made extraordinarily painstaking efforts. But it is an ethnic victory, and chaos as well.
