The Bill of Lading(B/L) is one of the most import certificate for owning cargo.The Electronic B/L has its unique advantages with its combination of electronic data interchange and traditional Paper B/L. With the development of electronic commerce, the Electronic B/L has already been used in the field of electronic commerce field of many developed country. Here we described the traits, advantages and using procedure of the Electronic B/L ,meanwhile discussed the problems and security control in the application of the Electronic B/L.
