A Brief Study of Renaissant “Women Literature” through Pizan’s The City of Women

法国文艺复兴时期的女作家克里斯蒂娜·德·皮桑是为数不多的杰出知识女性之一,她的代表作《妇女城》,既是文艺复兴时期为女性的权利与地位勇敢呐喊的第一力作,又是代表女性文学文本性质的开篇之作。其社会意义和文学价值应得到足够的肯定。

French woman writer, Christine de Pizan is one of the outstanding intelligent women in the Renaissance. Pizan’s representative work, The City of Women, was not only the first strong voice in the Renaissance calling for the right and position of women, but also the beginning chapter representing the nature of woman literary texts. The City of Women deserves adequate affirmation on its social significance and literary value.
