On January 31 st,2005,in the busiest downtown of Chongqing,Shi Zhili,a leukaemia-suffered high schoolgirl from Luxian County,Sichuan, and short of money for her further treatment in the city, was carried here in a stretcher. With tears in her eyes, she had her last wish come true:to see the Liberation Monument, the symbol of the city, because she knew that her life would not be long if not further treated. Many passers-by were moved by the scene, and they appealed for the help of the patient girl:Save a flowery Sichuan girl from perishing in Chongqing.Chongqing was moved,as numerous citizens, from retired old people to kindergarten children, made their contributions for her further treatment that later realized, this shows that people of Chongqing are so kind-hearted that they take pleasure in helping other people in such a noble mind.
