目前很大一部分古陶瓷研究者，把越窑的产生、发展、鼎盛到衰落的时代，定在东汉晚期到北宋晚期；就空间地域大多认为，在现浙江省的宁波、绍兴地域为主。
This is an analytical account of the main characteristics of celadon porcelain produced by the Yue Kilns during the 618-1279 period,when China was alternately under the reign of the Tang and Song dynasties.Analysis is focused on the bodies,glaze colors,shapes and designs of the Yue Kilns celadon porcelain and the firing techniques for their production.
