苏式彩画，简称苏画或苏作，采自江南苏杭一带民间建筑彩画传统做法。江浙自古盛产丝织，图案花锦丰富、多彩。宋《营造法式》画作多采锦纹为饰，后世艳称：“宋锦”、“宋龙”。明清在江南设织造署统理苏松五府织造工业，专为帝王舆服服务。永乐修北京宫殿，大量征用江南苏松五府工匠，江南的民间艺术因此流传于北京。
