摘要
美国M60 7.62mm通用机枪最初由斯普林菲尔德兵工厂在二战末期开始设计，1957年定型，1958年装备美军并取代了勃朗宁M1917A1、M1919A4重机枪和M1919A6轻机枪。该枪由美国萨科防御公司(Saco Defence Inc．)生产并改进，陆续出现了M60C、M600、M60E1、M60E2、M60E3、M60E4等变型枪，除了美军用作制式武器外，还被澳大利亚、越南、韩国、格林纳达、巴拿马、南非以及许多西方国家采用。
