摘要
语法教学是高等学校英语教学的重要组成部分。但由于学生在中学英语学习阶段都学习了语法,所以如何在高校进行语法教学、如何编写该类教材是英语教学界长期研究的课题,也是没有定论的问题。本文试比较常规语法现象和非常规语法现象、现代语法教学与传统语法翻译法教学;从系统功能语法理论出发探讨语法教学的定位、语法能力以及英语语言技能的综合培养;认为培养语法能力应是现代英语语法教学的中心。
Grammar teaching is an important part of College English teaching. As students have already learned English grammar in high schools,how to give English grammar lessons and how to compile English grammar books for English major have long been a topic for discussion. In this paper,grammar is divided into regular and irregular phenomena and modern grammar teaching is differentiated from traditional grammar-translation approach. Grammaring is defined and regarded as the focus of English grammar teaching for English Majors. Functional grammar should be introduced to them who are required to get aware of language functions and the use of grammar.
