古越精神与周作人文化性格

Ancient Yue Spirit and Zhou Zuoren's Cultural Character

文章共三个部分。第一部分论述周作人硬气、沉实的精神个性与古越先民强悍好斗的野性、句践兴国雪耻而惨淡经营的稳实作风间的内在联系;第二部分围绕周作人的“故乡泛化意识”,探讨了越初民敢于轻舟泛海的海洋心态于其“世界民”意识形成、古越怀疑而非盲从的理性思维方式于其破除传统故乡意识的影响;第三部分则梳理周作人散文平淡而又无法平淡的风格与古越精神中任适自然、追求事功两种对立文化质素并存兼容间的某种内在因缘。

This paper consists of three parts.Part one examines the internal relationship between Zhou Zuoren's unyielding composure and the valiant aggressiveness of the early inhabitants of what is now Shaoxing as well as Gou Jian's (king of Yue state) steadfastness in his plan of revenge.Part two explores how the forefathers' fearless exploration into sea helped the writer acquire his 'world citizen'mentality and how the early inhabitants' rational skepticism helped him forsake homeland complex.Part three investigates the internal linkage between the writer's seemingly stark and unsentimental style and the unhurried ease as well as an attempt to combine two opposing cultural factors that broadly mark ancient Yue spirit.
