Study on the stability of soft foundation on expressways

我国地域辽阔,从沿海到内陆、山区到平原,分布着各种各样的地基土。这些地基土中,不少为软弱土和不良土。其中,软粘土地基是在工程实践中遇到最多,而且需要进行人工处理的不良地基。软粘土广泛分布在我国东南沿海、环渤海和部分内陆地区,这些地区的许多工业与民用建筑、公路、铁路、港口码头和水利等工程常常不得不兴建在软粘土地基上。因此,对软粘土的深入研究具有重要的现实意义。

Within the vast area in China, all types of foundation soil can be found from coast to inner land, from mountains to plains. Many of them are soft soil and bad soil. Especially, soft and sticky soil is very often seen in construction. It is widely located in the south and east coastal areas, Bohai Ring area and some inner land. Hence, it has become the foundation of many industrial and civilian buildings, roads, railways, ports and water conservancy projects. Hence it is very important to carry on further study.
