美国南北战争之初,英法等欧洲列强倾向于南方同盟。由于经济、政治、军事、社会舆论综合因素的影响,最终迫使欧洲列强尤其是英国坚持了中立的立场。

At the early stage of American Civil War,some european countries such as Britain and France were inclined to the South. Because influenced by economy, politics, militarly affairs and public opinions, these countries especially Britain had to keep neutrality.
