This paper discusses the concept of the information literacy and points out the internal relationship between the information service and the information literacy. A very important part of the information literacy education is that information professionals should gain information literacy appropriated to develop the personalized knowledge database based on the person's professional skill. It also discusses the role and responsibility of the academic libraries in the information literacy education.
