期刊的回溯建库有利于自动化管理,有效地提高期刊资源的利用率。期刊的回溯建库要规划好期刊类目设置体系及各类目使用到的级,确定分类号;对同类期刊依据一定的标准进行再次区分,编制好刊次号,进一步确定期刊的索刊号;粘帖上书标、条型码与磁条,再进行期刊与目录卡核对;最后根据图书馆刊目数据库的具体要求,把期刊的有关数据录入计算机。
