The Introduction of Taoist Theory into Civil Service Exam System of Tang Dynasty

唐朝是道教发展的一个高潮时期,统治者利用道教强化唐王朝神授的观念,又与民休息以恢复生产。此时道经在学校教育和科举考试中占有一席之地,这是中国其它封建王朝所不曾有过的一段教育制度史。

Tang dynasty is the climatic period of Taoism development. The rulers adopt Taoist doctrine to strengthen the concepts of god-giving rights and to help farmers to restore production. The Taoist theory is a part of the school's education and the then exam system. The adoption of Taoism in the then exam system is a special case in Tang dynasty.
