脉诊寸关尺长度探讨

Discussion on the length of cun, guan, chi of pulse-taking

历代医家对寸关尺各部的长度有着不同的见解,其中以“脉取三寸,三部各为一寸”的观点得到了多数医家的认同。研究认为,三部总长度应根据人腕部桡动脉比较浅露肤表的一段长度来确定,在前臂中所占长度比例应与前臂在人身长中所占长度比例相适应;而各部的长度应按寸关尺分别反映人体上、中、下三段的身长比例来确定。按照上述原则计算,三部总长度以2寸最合理,寸关尺长度分别为6分、2分、12分。

Traditional Chinese doctors in history have different views on each length of cun, guan, chi of pulse-taking. Most of traditional Chinese doctors agree on the view of “ the length of checking pulse is 3 cun, the length of each position is 1 cun.” According to the research, the total length of the three positions should be decided by the length of the radial artery located on superficial skin in the wrist.The proportion of their total length over forearm length should be adapted to the proportion of forearm length over the length of the body.And the length of each section is decided by the ratio of the length over the upper,middle and lower part of the body.It is the most reasonable that the total length of the three positions is 2 cun according to the above-mentioned principle.The length of cun,guan,chi position is 6 fen,2 fen,12 fen.
