计算机辅助翻译刍议

Study on Computer-Aid Translation

机器翻译的真正发展是从上个世纪40年代开始的,至尽已经历了三个阶段。从目前的现状来看计算机在翻译的过程中只是处于“辅助”的地位,从长远来看作为机器的计算机也永远不可能替代人的位置。基于此,笔者提出了广义的“计算机辅助翻译”的概念,并介绍了目前常见的计算机辅助翻译的形式。

Springing up in 1940s, machine-aid translation has gone through three stages. Judging from its presentdevelopment, the role it plays in the process of translation can only be recognized as “assistant”. Computer cannot replacehuman beings. As a result, this paper puts forward the concept of “computer-aid translation” in its broad sense andintroduces common types of computer aided translation available at present.
