托吡酯转换治疗成人癫癎的研究

Study of topiramate changing therapy in adult epileptic patients

目的:评价托吡酯(妥泰)转换用药对成人癫的疗效和安全性。方法:对38例用卡马西平或丙戊酸钠治疗效果不佳的成人癫患者,加用托吡酯治疗,在加量时逐渐减少原来用药剂量,观察其有效性和安全性。结果:托吡酯转换治疗后,患者癫发作减少,其中无发作3例(7.9%),显效17例(44.7%),有效10例(26.3%),无效8例(21%),总有效30例(78.9%)。结论:对用卡马西平或丙戊酸钠疗效不佳的患者转换用托吡酯是安全有效的治疗措施。

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and the safety of Topiramate in changing drug treatment in adult patients with epilepsy.Methods:Thirty-eight adult patients with epileptic were recruited in this study. Twenty-four of them were taking carbamazepine and the others were taking valproate but seizures were not satisfactorily controlled. The safety and efficacy were observed while adding Topiramate on treatment as the dose of carbamazepine/valproate was decreased .Results:After Topiramate changingtreatment, three patients (7.9%) were totally seizure free,17(44.7%) of them have apparent effect (seizure frequency was 75%~99%reduced ),10(26.3%) of were effectively treated (seizure frequency was 50%~74%reduced), and 8(21%) of have no effects (seizure frequency was 50%reduced).Conclusions:Topiramate is safe and effective in changing therapy in adult epileptic patients whose seizure is not satisfactorily controlled by carbamazepine/valproate
