本文论述了期刊文献的快速性、多样性、广泛性和共享性等特点,提出期刊开发利用要提高期刊服务意识、优化期刊馆藏结构、提高期刊管理的自动化水平、提供期刊信息的网上服务、建设高素质的馆员队伍、加强读者教育,才能有效地提高期刊文献利用率。

In this paper, the distinguishing features of literature in periodicals, such as fast renewal, varieties, extensive topic, shared by people, etc., were discussed. On the base of this, it was concluded that the efficient and effective use of periodicals is based on the following measures, intensifying service cognition, optimizing storage structure, supplying web services for periodical information, forming a high qualified group, and also giving a good education to readers.
